Ronda
L. Hostetter has over 25 years experience
in the healthcare field, including marketing,
public relations, managed care and legislative
affairs. After residing in Plano for 18 years,
she relocated to the Hill Country. Prior to beginning
her own marketing firm in 1997, she served as
a consultant for Columbia Planning, Education
and Consulting in Austin, Sweetwater Health Enterprises
in Dallas and Regis McKenna, Inc. (Palo Alto,
California) in their Dallas office. Her background
also involves numerous years working in the managed
healthcare field including network development
and strategic planning. She has served as Marketing
Director of Charter Healthcare Systems and in
the marketing department of HCA Medical Center
of Plano. In addition to her work in marketing
and managed care, she has extensive experience
with the Texas legislature including lobbying
and other advocacy issues.
She has been a long time member
of community based organizations and believes
in the value of networking. Leadership roles include
serving on the Executive Board of Leadership Plano
(Graduate of Class V), Board of the Junior League
of Plano and the American Heart Association, President
of the Collin County Unit of the American Cancer
Society and Chairman of the Collin County Healthcare
Advisory Board. Hill Country organizations include
serving as the first President of the Seton Highland
Lakes Associates, on the advisory board of the
Seton Highland Lakes Hospital, President of the
Highland Lakes Health Partnership, President of
Epsilon Sigma Alpha Service Organization, as well
as a member of the Burnet Chamber of Commerce
and Friends of Hospice. Professional affiliations
have included the American Marketing Association,
Texas Medical Group Management Association, Women
in Communications, the Texas 5.01(a) Alliance
and DFW Managed Healthcare Association.
Ms. Hostetter graduated Cum Laude
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations
and Marketing from the University of Texas at
Dallas. Her Master of Science degree is in Business
and Human Resource Management from Amberton University
in Dallas. She and her husband, Jerry, live in
a historic home on their family ranch in Burnet.
They have a married daughter and son-in-law with
two children. Their other daughter is a designer
in Austin. Hobbies include painting, genealogy
and gardening.
