Mike
Claypool has extensive experience in
personnel and financial management. He has come
to healthcare after a long and productive career
in educational administration, where he was lead
administrator of organizations as large as 175
employees and a $10 million budget. Mike has strong
skills in working with clerical and clinical office
staff to improve morale, teamwork, and productivity.
Supervision of staff, work place diversity, and
management of problem employee issues, are his
specialty. Mike can assist clients in shaping
their office staff into highly productive, and
highly positive, teams. The results are significant
bottom line growth, an improved working atmosphere,
a reduction in work force turnover, and significant
reduction in worry for the client physicians.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree from Williams
College, in Massachusetts, and holds a Master’s
Degree in Education from Texas Southern University.
As well, he has attended the Harvard Principal’s
Center and the Texas A&M Principal’s
Center, where he learned numerous educational
management techniques that are beneficial for
the physician client office. Mike is a member
of the Texas Medical Group Management Association
and has been a speaker for various professional
and community groups. He serves on the Emergency
Services District Board in the community of Spicewood,
Texas. Mike is an avid tennis player and enjoys
gardening. He resides in Spicewood with his wife,
Jamie, and their two children.
